However, he was a member of a parliamentary committee which on March 27, 2013, deemed an important private members motion (M408) non-votable, based on trumped-up grounds. M408 merely sought to condemn the barbaric practice of female gendercide which is occurring in Canada through sex-selective abortion. Formerly Parliamentary Secretary to the Leader of the Government in the House of Commons in the 41st Parliament of Canada.
