Side-by-Side Candidate Comparison in the Riding of Gatineau

Rating Comments

During the 2019 federal election cycle, Joel identified himself as "pro-life". He has many pro-life beliefs, but unfortunately, holds an exception for the alleged "hard cases" of rape and incest which he believes are legitimate reasons for legalizing the choice to have an abortionist kill a baby in the mother's womb. On issues of family values and parental rights, Joel is also generally very good.

Official party policy is pro-abortion and pro-LGBT ideology. In fact, Trudeau's candidate selection process, instituted May 7, 2014, forbids any pro-life or pro-traditional marriage Canadians from running as Liberal Party candidates. The only way they would be allowed to run is if they promise to vote in favour of abortion whenever such legislation comes up. In December 2020, this MP voted to dramatically expand the euthanasia killing regime in Canada under Bill C-7; however, on March 11, 2021, the MP voted AGAINST the very same bill after it been amended to include assisted suicide for people suffering from mental illness alone.

In June 2021, MacKinnon voted against pro-life Bill C-233, introduced by Conservative MP Cathay Wagantall, to outlaw the horrific practice of sex-selective abortion, in which unborn babies are killed for no other reason than their sex.

Later that month, the MP disgracefully revealed himself to be an enemy of parental rights, and science, by voting to pass Bill C-6, legislation that will jail parents for up to 5 years if they dare to affirm their gender-confused child in their biological sex.
