Cavey boasts that he has marched in homosexual Pride parades in the past, so he holds anti-family views. However, in 2019, he announced that he would be withdrawing from Vancouver's homosexuality parade so as to stand up for free speech. This decision was spurred by the parade organizers' totalitarian actions to ban all public library employees and all University of British Columbia employees from marching because each institution had committed the unpardonable "crime" of allowing a talk to be held on their property by guest speakers who opposes transgender ideology.
While we are disappointed with Cavey's support of LGBT ideology in general, we are pleased to see that he at least was willing to take a principled stand for our constitutional right to freedom of speech, which he recognized was being trampled by the militant LGBT organizers.
