In 2004, Dorian told The Interim newspaper that he is pro-life and pro-traditional marriage. As well as running for municipal and provincial election in Ontario, Dorian ran for federal election in 2011 and 2015 in the Newmarket-Aurora riding as the candidate for the Progressive Canadian Party. More recently, in April 2017, Dorian ran for the PCP in the federal by-election in Markham-Thornhill, which was held to replace retiring Liberal MP John McCallum.
