Candidate, Anthony Navarro
Green Party | Pickering - Uxbridge, ON
CLC rating: Supportable (Pro-life, anti-traditional family)
Rating Comments: Anthony gave perfect answers to CLC's questionnaire, so he has been rated pro-life. However, in a phone conversation with a CLC representative during the 2014 Ontario provincial elections, in which he was a candidate, Anthony stated that it was "great that the gay community is coming out" and that he had no objection to the amalgamation of the Public and Catholic school boards. These comments would be problematic for traditionally-principled families whose parental rights in education are being dramatically eroded, specifically regarding sensitive lesson content that always tends to normalize the homosexual lifestyle. It should be noted that the previous leader of the Green Party, Jim Harris, stated as a party wide policy: "The Green Party is in favour of gay marriage and a woman's right to choose (on abortion)".
Percentage in last election: 2% (2015)
