In June 2021, MP Colin Carrie rightly voted in favour of pro-life Bill C-233, introduced by Conservative MP Cathay Wagantall, to outlaw the horrific practice of sex-selective abortion, in which unborn babies are killed for no other reason than their sex.

Shockingly, in the same month, Colin voted in favour of the totalitarian, anti-family Bill C-6 which will jail parents for up to 5 years if they dare to affirm their gender-confused child in their biological sex. This is a stain on Colin's otherwise pro-life and pro-family voting record.

In an interview with CLC, MP Carrie said he would not introduce pro-life legislation, but would suppport it. On Sep 26, 2012 he voted in favour of MP Woodworth's principled Motion 312, to study whether a child in the womb is a human being, based on the preponderence of evidence from modern medical science. He also voted against the transgender "Bathroom Bill".

CLC was disappointed to see this stalwart pro-life MP endorse the pro-abortion, 2020 Conservative Leadership candidate Peter MacKay, especially when there were two strong pro-life candidates in the race, MP Derek Sloan and Dr. Leslyn Lewis, behind whom all pro-lifers needed to rally.

Official party policy is pro-abortion and anti-traditional marriage. In fact, Trudeau's new candidate selection process, instituted May 7, 2014, forbids any pro-life Canadians from running as Liberal Party candidates. The only way they would be allowed to run, is if they promise to vote in favour of abortion whenever such legislation comes up.
