In June 2021, this MP rightly voted in favour of pro-life Bill C-233, introduced by Conservative MP Cathay Wagantall, to outlaw the horrific practice of sex-selective abortion, in which unborn babies are killed for no other reason than their sex.

Candice has a perfect voting record in the House of Commons on life & family issues.

Sadly however, she moved away from her pro-family voting record during the Conservative Party's National Convention in May 2016. There, she supported a gay-activist, special interest group's campaign to abolish the party's existing support for true marriage between a man and a woman. She subsequently identified herself to reporters as someone who is a pro-life supporter, but also a supporter of so-called "LGBT rights". She also told reporters that she "celebrates" homosexuality, transgenderism and pansexualism (a.k.a. "diversity" in liberal doublespeak).

At the same time, she clarified that she disagrees with how liberal progressives so often slander traditionally-principled Canadians as "homophobic" for simply believing that marriage is between a man and a woman, or for not supporting homosexual pride parades. These parades often feature buck naked men, mock sex acts, sexual bondage, and sadomasochism (see example from Toronto's gay parade: http://www.campaignlifecoalition.com/shared/media/editor/file/1-Bondage-Pride-LG.jpg).

Also, on Sep 1, 2016 in a letter to the editor, Bergen made a rather disturbing definition of what it means to be pro-life, referring to "sanctity of life from birth until natural death". Does this mean she does not believe in the sanctity of life BEFORE birth? The right to life from CONCEPTION to natural death is the refrain that should be sung by all true believers in the right to life. We hope it was a careless mistake.

Official Liberal Party policy is pro-abortion and pro-LGBT ideology. In fact, Trudeau's candidate selection process, instituted May 7, 2014, forbids any pro-life Canadians from running as Liberal Party candidates. The only way they would be allowed to run is if they promise to vote in favour of abortion whenever such legislation comes up.
