Official policy is pro-abortion and anti-traditional marriage. In fact, Trudeau's new candidate selection process, instituted May 7, 2014, forbids any pro-life Canadians from running as Liberal Party candidates. The only way they would be allowed to run, is if they promise to vote in favour of abortion whenever such legislation comes up.

Official NDP policy is pro-abortion and pro-LGBT ideology. On Sep. 26, 2012, Angus voted against MP Stephen Woodworth's principled Motion 312 to study whether a child in the womb is a human being based on the preponderence of evidence from modern medical science. He also voted in favour of the reckless, transgender 'Bathroom Bill' (C-279) which, if passed, will put young girls and women at risk by creating a counterfeit, legal 'right' for men to access women's bathrooms and changerooms. Angus was the Canadian Heritage Committee Vice Chair prior to the October 2015 Federal election.

On March 11, 2021, the entire NDP caucus actually voted AGAINST the horrible amended version of euthanasia expansion Bill C-7 that allows assisted suicide for people suffering from mental illness alone.

In June 2021, this MP voted against pro-life Bill C-233, introduced by Conservative MP Cathay Wagantall, to outlaw the horrific practice of sex-selective abortion, in which unborn babies are killed for no other reason than their sex.

Later that month, the MP disgracefully revealed himself to be an enemy of parental rights, and science, by voting to pass Bill C-6, legislation that will jail parents for up to 5 years if they dare to affirm their gender-confused child in their biological sex.
