In June 2021, this MP rightly voted in favour of pro-life Bill C-233, introduced by Conservative MP Cathay Wagantall, to outlaw the horrific practice of sex-selective abortion, in which unborn babies are killed for no other reason than their sex.

Also in June 2021, this MP voted against Justin Trudeau’s parental prosecution bill, C-6, which seeks to put parents in jail up to 5 years if they dare to affirm their gender-confused child in their biological sex.

In 2011 CLC rated MP Mackenzie "pro-life" based on having a good voting record. However, he has shown a troubling voting pattern since. In 2013 he was a member of the parliamentary committee which deemed an important private members motion (M408) non-votable, based on trumped-up grounds. M408 merely sought to condemn the barbaric practice of female gendercide which is occurring in Canada through sex-selective abortion (ironically, M408 advanced the very same principal that he rightly supported in June 2021 with Bill C-233; see top comment). In 2012 he also voted against Stephen Woodworth's principled Motion 312 to study whether a child in the womb is a human being, based on the evidence from modern medical science.

Official policy is pro-abortion and anti-traditional marriage. In fact, Trudeau's new candidate selection process, instituted May 7, 2014, forbids any pro-life Canadians from running as Liberal Party candidates. The only way they would be allowed to run, is if they promise to vote in favour of abortion whenever such legislation comes up.
