During a conversation with a constituent about CLC's 2019 election survey, Ruff complained that our questions on the sanctity of life and conscience rights are too "black and white while the issues are grey". However, he did say that he is open to learning about the pro-life perspective.

He also expressed opposition to the true definition of marriage, i.e. the union of one man and one woman.

Official party policy is pro-abortion and anti-traditional marriage. In fact, Trudeau's new candidate selection process, instituted May 7, 2014, forbids any pro-life Canadians from running as Liberal Party candidates. The only way they would be allowed to run, is if they promise to vote in favour of abortion whenever such legislation comes up.

Green Party policy is officially pro-abortion & pro-homosexualist. A press release by Party Leader Elizabeth May said she supports abortion on-demand. May also did a a video interview in which she said abortion "is not a morally wrong decision by any means". The previous Green leader, Jim Harris, stated: "The Green Party is in favour of gay marriage and a woman's right to choose (on abortion)".
