Side-by-Side Candidate Comparison in the Riding of Calgary Midnapore

Rating Comments

In June 2021, this MP rightly voted in favour of pro-life Bill C-233, introduced by Conservative MP Cathay Wagantall, to outlaw the horrific practice of sex-selective abortion, in which unborn babies are killed for no other reason than their sex.

Also in June 2021, this MP surprisingly voted against Justin Trudeau’s parental prosecution bill, C-6, which seeks to put parents in jail up to 5 years if they dare to affirm their gender-confused child in their biological sex. This is notable, considering that she marched in the Vancouver homosexualist pride parade on August 5, 2018.

Jonathan leans heavily in a pro-life direction, but holds exception wherein he believes it should be legally permissible to kill preborn children. These exceptions make it impossible for CLC to qualify him as fully pro-life. Jonathan is also somewhat uncertain about euthanasia. See tab for details.

Official policy is pro-abortion & pro-LGBT ideology. In fact, Trudeau's candidate selection process, instituted May 7, 2014, forbids any pro-life Canadians from running as Liberal Party candidates. The only way they would be allowed to run is if they promise to vote in favour of abortion whenever such legislation comes up.
