Official party policy is pro-abortion and LGBT ideology. In fact, Trudeau's candidate selection process, instituted May 7, 2014, forbids any pro-life Canadians from running as Liberal Party candidates. The only way they would be allowed to run is if they promise to vote in favour of abortion whenever such legislation comes up.

Elizabeth May has an appalling anti-life-and-family record as an MP. In April 2011, as Green Party of Canada leader, she gave a video interview in which she said that abortion "isn't a morally wrong decision by any means". She issued a press release saying she supports abortion on-demand. Official Green Party policy is pro-abortion. In 2012 this anti-science MP voted against Stephen Woodworth's principled Motion 312 to study whether a child in the womb is a human being based on the preponderence of evidence from modern medical science. She also voted in favour of the reckless, transgender 'Bathroom Bill' (C-279) which, if passed, will put young girls and women at risk by creating a counterfeit, legal 'right' for men to access women's bathrooms and changerooms. In 2015, it was discovered that May signed onto an international declaration which urged the Canadian government to adopt a 2-child policy, similar to that which is brutally enforced by the Chinese Communist dictatorship where forced abortion and female gendercide is common. On March 11, 2021, MP May voted to dramatically expand the euthanasia killing regime in Canada under Bill C-7, even extending it to people suffering from mental illness alone.

In June 2021, this MP voted against pro-life Bill C-233, introduced by Conservative MP Cathay Wagantall, to outlaw the horrific practice of sex-selective abortion, in which unborn babies are killed for no other reason than their sex.

MP May was leader for the Green Party of Canada from 2006 until her resignation from the party leadership role in October 2019.
