Official party policy is pro-abortion and pro-LGBT ideology. In fact, Trudeau's candidate selection process, instituted May 7, 2014, forbids any pro-life or pro-traditional marriage Canadians from running as Liberal Party candidates. The only way they would be allowed to run is if they promise to vote in favour of abortion whenever such legislation comes up.

Offical Bloc position is pro-abortion and pro-LGBT ideology. In December 2020, MP Fortin voted, at 3rd Reading, to dramatically expand the euthanasia killing regime in Canada under Bill C-7. Two months earlier, he voted in favour, at 2nd Reading, of the radical LGBT-enforcement Bill C-6 (the so-called "Conversion Therapy Ban") which threatens therapists, pastors, and even parents with fines and imprisonment for trying to help children overcome dangerous and self-destructive LGBT practices and ideation. Nevertheless, somewhat to his credit, Fortin was critical of the subsequent addition of the phrase "gender expression" to the bill prior to its anticipated 3rd Reading, and the haste with which the bill is being pushed toward passage, giving well-articulated cautionary statements of his criticism.

In June 2021, this MP voted against pro-life Bill C-233, introduced by Conservative MP Cathay Wagantall, to outlaw the horrific practice of sex-selective abortion, in which unborn babies are killed for no other reason than their sex.

Later that month, the MP disgracefully revealed himself to be an enemy of parental rights, and science, by voting to pass Bill C-6, legislation that will jail parents for up to 5 years if they dare to affirm their gender-confused child in their biological sex.

>During debates on conscience-protection Bill C-268, MP Fortin employed his sophistic skills to justify his support for forcing doctors to participate in the killing of their patients.
