Jenica Atwin was elected in the 2019 federal elecation as the first Green Party MP from Atlantic Canada, giving the Green Party its largest-ever caucus of three members. In December 2020, MP Atwin voted to dramatically expand the euthanasia killing regime in Canada under Bill C-7. However, on March 11, 2021, this MP voted AGAINST the horrible amended version of euthanasia expansion Bill C-7 that allows assisted suicide for people suffering from mental illness alone.

On June 2, 2021, Atwin voted against pro-life Bill C-233, introduced by Conservative MP Cathay Wagantall, to outlaw the horrific practice of sex-selective abortion, in which unborn babies are killed for no other reason than their sex.

Just days later, on June 10th, it was reported that Atwin was leaving the Green Party and crossing the floor to join the Liberals. The reason for the move was given as friction within the Green Party due to conflicting attitudes toward the recent flare-up in the Isreali/Palestinian conflict.

Later that month, Atwin disgracefully revealed herself to be an enemy of parental rights, and science, by voting to pass Bill C-6, legislation that will jail parents for up to 5 years if they dare to affirm their gender-confused child in their biological sex.
