In June 2021, this MP rightly voted in favour of pro-life Bill C-233, introduced by Conservative MP Cathay Wagantall, to outlaw the horrific practice of sex-selective abortion, in which unborn babies are killed for no other reason than their sex.

Also in June 2021, this MP voted against Justin Trudeau’s parental prosecution bill, C-6, which seeks to put parents in jail up to 5 years if they dare to affirm their gender-confused child in their biological sex.

MP Tochor was a provincial MLA who wanted to jump into federal politics. He could have sought the nomination in several ridings other than this one, so as to challenge a pro-abortion NDP incumbent MP in the 2019 federal election. Instead however, he chose to challenge Brad Trost, the heroic pro-life/family MP who brought credibility to, and newfound respect for, the socially-conservative base of the Conservative Party. Trost did that by running for the CPC Leadership on an explicitly pro-life platform.

Tochor was successful in his coup, narrowly defeating Trost in the nomination vote.

This was a potentially telling move given CLC's belief that there were progressive, red tory forces within the party establishment who wanted to oust Trost for being too outspoken against abortion, and for promoting the true definition of marriage. Also revealing was the reason Tochor gave the media for why he felt Trost deserved to be removed from office as a member of parliament. He said it was because Trost "is a polarizing figure". Many people understood "polarizing" to be a code word for always bringing up pro-life issues and defending traditional family values. If this was indeed what Tochor was getting at, it does not bode well for him being any sort of advocate for social conservative issues.

More evidence of Tochor's social liberalism is the fact that while he was an MLA in the Saskatoon-Eastview riding, he paid for an advertisement to personally endorse the local homosexual pride parade.

Official Liberal Party policy is pro-abortion & pro-LGBT ideology. Rating based on the fact that Trudeau's candidate selection process, instituted May 7, 2014, forbids any pro-life Canadians from running as Liberal Party candidates. They only way they would be allowed to run is if they promise to vote in favour of abortion whenever such legislation comes up.
